crispSofties updated its iPod.iTunes synchronization software Monday, adding the ability to suppress iTunes’ iPod synchronization.
iPod.iTunes 4.0 notifies users about the current iPod connection state; with a single click, users can now ensure that nothing will be deleted by iTunes’ automatic iPod synchronization when they connect their music player. The new feature gives users enhanced control over what’s synced back and forth between the iPod and Apple’s music application.
Available for €24.90 (about $39), iPod.iTunes synchronizes songs, videos, playlists, and meta data in both directions between users’ iPod and iTunes libraries. Version 4.0 is a free update for registered users of iPod.iTunes 2.x and 3.x.
Other new features in the 4.0 update include enhanced meta data support, improved application updating, and the ability to eject the iPod’s disk volume directly from within iPod.iTunes.
crispSofties offers a free demo version of iPod.iTunes at its Web site.
