Summer NAMM is underway in Nashville, TN this week and Steinberg took the opportunity to show a couple of new products. At its booth, Steinberg is showing the MR816 Firewire Audio Interfaces and the CC121 Advanced Integration Controller.
The MR816X and MR816 CRX audio interfaces are the result of a collaboration between Steinberg and Yamaha. The devices feature built-in DSP effects, and eight mic preamps with combo XLR and TRS connectors. The units also have ADAT and S/PDIF ins and outs.
The CC121 Advanced Integration Controller allows the user to control any visual Cubase 4 parameter, internal FX setting or VSTi parameter using mouse pointer selection. The CC121 features Cubase channel settings including solo/mute, record arm, ‘e’ settings button, automation read/write, pan and VSTi editor as well as full Cubase EQ section with 12 dedicated rotary encoders, with mode selection and bypass switches.
Pricing was not available for either product, but they will be released in the third quarter.
