Feral Interactive has posted a Universal binary update to Chessmaster 9000, its conversion of the popular chess game for the Macintosh. It’s a free update for registered users.
Chessmaster 9000 introduces players to the rules and strategies of chess, and can also be used as a seasoned chess competitor for experienced players. It features a variety of piece and board designs, more than 800 classic games, 150 different computer-controlled opponents with skill levels from beginner to Grandmaster, online play, tournament mode, and a “Psychology of Competition” chess course.
The update also corrects some graphical issues that occur with the game on Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard.”
