Among the many developers offering new iPhone and iPod touch games with the launch of the App Store is mobile game maker Gameloft, which announced a half dozen new games available on launch day.
The games include Brain Challenge, a “brain fitness” game that tests your mental skills rather than your reflexes. Brain Challenge has been released for multiple platforms including the iPod, but this version sports an iPhone exclusive: a “mini-challenge” to arrange cubs by gravity.
In Bubble Bash you toss multi-colored bubbles into the sky, to pop three or more bubbles of the same color. Chess & Backgammon Classics are combined in one title — touch versions of the classic board games. Diamond Twister is a new take on the gem-matching puzzle game, with rotating gameplay that uses the iPhone/iPod touch’s accelerometer. Platinum Solitaire is Gameloft’s take on solitaire card gaming, including five new games exclusive to the iPhone. And Platinum Sudoku includes 20 million Sudoku and Kukuro number logic games.
Diamond Twister, Platinum Sudoku, Platinum Solitaire and Bubble Bash each cost $7.99 and Brain Challenge and Chess & Backgammon Classics are $9.99 each.
