Toontrack updated two of its drum sample products. EZdrummer and the company’s newest product Superior Drummer both received significant updates this week.
Superior Drummer is Toontrack’s flagship professional sampling engine for drums. The new version makes almost 20 improvements to the software including improved performance on multiprocessor Mac in Pro Tools 7.4; it no longer fails to load samples while in cache mode; Sync (humanize) between microphones in bounce files is now correct; and the Studio View / ClassicView selection is remembered when GUI is closed down.
The update includes many other changes and enhancements, as well. Superior Drummer 2.0.1 is a free update for registered users and can be downloaded from the company’s Web site. For new users the software costs $349.
EZdrummer is a longstanding product from Toontrack and its update includes fixes for poor handling of multiple cores in ProTools under Mac OS X 10.5.x.; text input is available again in ProTools on Mac; and improved loop syncing to host.
EZdrummer 1.1.4 can also be downloaded from the company’s Web site.
