DJ-1800 on Tuesday announced the release of DJ-1800 3.2, a new version of its pro DJ software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users of version 3.0, DJ-1800 costs $80.
DJ-1800 lets DJs control music from their Mac without requiring a mixer, CD player or record deck. New to this release of DJ-1800 are two new plug-ins. One plug-in enables support for Rogue Amoeba’s Nicecast software, enabling DJ-1800 users to share their mixes with the Internet. The other supports the Hercules DJ Console Rmx controller.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later, QuickTime 7.3 or later, G4 1GHz or faster, 512MB RAM, 1024 x 768 resolution, iTunes 6 or later.
