Epson on Friday introduced the Perfection V300 Photo scanner. The scanner costs $99.99.
The Perfection V300 uses Epson’s ReadyScan LED technology that enables fast scan speeds and eliminates warm-ups. The technology also uses less power and has no mercury, as traditional cod cathode fluorescent lamps do.
The scanner sports different scan modes like “full automatic,” “professional” and “office,” each offering control over scans, different sorts of image correction tools, threshold control and more. A built-in transparency unit helps you scan slides and negatives.
Software is included for photo restoration, optical character recognition and more. It’s also TWAIN-compliant.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
