Aqua Connect on Friday announced the release of its Terminal Server 3.0 software for Mac OS X.
Terminal Server—available in separate releases for the server editions of Mac OS X 10.4 “Tiger” and Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard”—enable users of different hardware platforms and operating systems remotely operate a Mac operating system and Mac applications.
The new 3.0 release supports Leopard Server, and adds support for Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). More advanced administration tools enable you to audit user sessions, prioritize CPU usage and shadow sessions. Integration has been improved with Apple’s Work Group Manager, Open Directory and Active Directory software, as well.
Aqua Connect has also announced future improvement plants for Terminal Server 3.0, including the ability list applications on a user or group level, use Cover Flow to view active user sessions, and for administrators to be able to send notifications to all users on the system, instantly.
