Crackatonic Projects has released Optimism 2.1.0, an update for its health and wellness application for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Optimism costs $19.95. A seven-day trial version is available for download.
Optimism is aimed at users who suffer depression. It prompts you to keep a detailed record of factors that play a part in your illness. Using this system, the developer hopes that users can get a better understanding of the issues that trigger depressive episodes, identify early warning signs, and use strategies to return to a good state of health. It features simple charts and a report, a template for developing a “Stay Well Plan” and more.
The new release has fields that can be customized to better reflect your circumstances, a 1 to 10 rating system that can be applied to the same fields, help windows, and a new “Fill new record from last” function.
Optimism requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later and 19.8MB hard disk space.
