Storage specialist EZQuest released a new series of hard drives the company says are targeted to audio and video professionals.
Dubbed the Thunder Pro A/V, the new storage solution comes with two FireWire 800, a USB, and an eSATA on the back of the case. For those that still use the older version of FireWire, the unit also has a FireWire 400 port on the front.
The Thunder series utilizes the latest Oxford chip-set and latest high performance 7200 RPM SATA II Hitachi Deskstar drives, according to the company. The Thunder has read speeds up to 108.55 MB/s (eSATA) and write speeds up to 105.78 MB/s.
The company said the Thunder Pro A/V is Time Machine compatible, supports multi-stream DV, HDV, and DVCPRO HD with real time effects and audio.
The Thunder drives are available in three capacities: 500GB/16MB that costs $199.00; 750GB/32MB that costs $239.00; and 1TB/32MB that costs $319.00.
