Belkin is offering a new “Switch-to-Mac” cable for PC users who want to transfer data to a new Macintosh. It costs $49.99 and is available now in the U.S.; it’s coming to Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia next February.
The cable attaches to a Mac and PC using USB 2.0, and moves files and settings from default PC folders and applications to default Mac folders and applications. The system then provides a summary of transferred content.
The Switch-to-Mac Cable is compatible with Windows XP and Vista, as well as Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5.
Belkin’s Web site had not been updated with information about the Switch-to-Mac Cable as Macworld posted this article.
