Electronic Arts (EA) announced Monday that its Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack is now shipping to retailers. Available for Mac OS X and Windows, the pack is $19.99.
Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack is an add-on for Spore, the hit “god” game from Will Wright, maker of Sim City and The Sims. In Spore, you evolve a life from from its beginnings in a primordial tide pool through its development as a vertebrate, and ultimately into sentience as it develops a tribal identity, creates a civilization and finds its way out into space.
One of the most fun parts of playing Spore is creating your creature — so much so that EA released Spore Creature Creator, a software toy based on the game, well in advance of the full Spore game’s release.
Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack — the first add-on for the game — works with both Spore and the full version of Spore Creature Creator. It allows players to further customize their creatures using more than 100 new components. You can create grotesque and disgusting creatures or ridiculous, goofy ones depending ony our tastes.
The Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack includes 60 new creature parts, 48 new paint options and 24 new animations, such as the robot, hoe-down, moonwalk and more.
The parts pack requires the full game, which is available where PC and Mac games are sold (both versions are on the same disc).
