MYOB on Tueswsday announced the availability of AccountEdge 2009, a new version of its small business management and accounting software for Mac OS X. It costs $299 for a new license, $159 for single-user upgrades, $249 for multi-user upgrades.
AccountEdge incorporates sales features; integrates with banking tools and lets you write and record checks, deposits, print receipts; manage contacts; process payroll; manage inventory; handle time billing and more.
AccountEdge 2009 adds a host of new features for 2009, including a more streamlined interface; card file action menu; improved data safeguards that help AccountEdge maintain PCI Data Security Standard requirements; new customization tools; data auditing; list searching improvements; Google Maps integration; print preview forms; Network Edition speed enhancements; “Business Insights” which calculate financial ratios and more; improved search; and integration with Marketcircle’s business productivity management software Daylite, using the new Daylite AccountEdge Connector.
