St. Clair Software updated its open and save dialog utility
Default Folder to version 4.1, fixing several bugs and adding full support for OpenOffice.
With the update, Default Folder’s toolbar appears much quicker, eliminating the lag that used to happen when initiating the application. Also added with the update is support for playing audio files in the preview window.
Several items were fixed with the update, as well. Some windowing problems that occurred with Spaces in Mac OS 10.5 have been corrected; the contents of disks which use the FAT32 format are correctly sorted in Default Folder X’s hierarchical menus; and temporary folders used by some printers are no longer included in the list of recently used folders.
Default Folder 4.1 is available for download from the company’s Web site. For new users the utility costs $34.95.
