You might be forgiven for not remembering the In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic that Apple announced during its September “Let’s Rock” event, alongside the fourth-generation iPod nano and second-generation iPod touch. The $79 add-on, which Apple describes as “engineered for superior acoustic accuracy, balance, and clarity” was supposed to be available in October, but only on Tuesday did Apple finally advertise on its home page that the headphones are “now shipping.”
Of course, Apple’s definition of shipping may not square with yours, as the product’s online Apple Store page showed availability at seven to 10 business days at the time this story was posted. And under the product description, you’ll still find the words “coming soon.”
