App4Mac has released CheckUp 2.0 as a public beta. The new version of the diagnostic utility for Mac OS X will cost $29, though the public beta is available for anyone who wants to try it.
CheckUp helps you monitor CPU usage, memory, disk drives and network adapters. You can get info about running processes, add rules that are triggered when specific conditions are met, and receive visual notifications.
New to the 2.0 release is an improved user interface. New functions have been added that test memory and detect bad components, optimize the performance of your computer, find duplicate files and show you how many files you have per type. A new document tab view has been added, the system view has been redesigned, the uninstall function has been improved, wireless network detection has been improved and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
