Cultured Code on Monday updated its task management software, Things. The application is now a release candidate, in the last stages of testing before the application’s final release on January 6, 2009, at Macworld Expo.
The latest release includes more than 35 changes and bug fixes, such as the ability to reorder projects and areas in the sidebar; contextual menus in the sidebar; and automatically changing to the project view when you start to edit a project item.
Fixed in the new version is a bug that resulted in the contents of the sidebar being shifted and partially clipped, and a problem that prevented Reminders (now renamed “Show in Today”) to be synced to the iPhone.
Things 1.0rc is available for download from the company’s Web site. You can purchase a license now for $49.95, although you can use the prerelease software until January 8 (all data entered now will remain available after updating to the final version.)
