Productivity software-maker SmileOnMyMac released an update for its typing shortcut tool, TextExpander.
The company added a new URL shortening service to the Internet Productivity snippet group with the latest version. A snippet for is.gd joins TinyURL, tr.im, and bit.ly.
Like all shortcuts in TextExpander, each URL shortening service has its own abbreviation. When a URL is copied to the clipboard, you just type the assigned abbreviation and the shortened link is inserted.
TextExpander is available for download from the company’s Web site and costs $29.95.
