Audio software-maker, iZotope, on Wednesday began shipping its mastering suite audio plug-in, Ozone 4.
The company said Ozone 4 has been optimized specifically for today’s low-latency digital audio workstations. The developers also updated and expanded the application’s processing algorithms.
New features in Ozone include a new Intelligent Loudness Maximizer mode, mid/side processing for more control over the sound stage, hybrid crossovers, a re-designed interface, and an updated preset manager that features MacroPresets.
Ozone 4 works as a plug in for Pro Tools (RTAS/AudioSuite), VST, and Audio Unit. The plug-in costs $249.99. Customers who bought Ozone 3 after October 1, 2008 are eligible for a free upgrade to Ozone 4. Existing Ozone 3 customers will be able to upgrade for $79, while Ozone 1 and 2 owners can upgrade for $99.
