Western Digital (WD) on Wednesday introduced the My Book World Edition, a new network storage drive that’s Mac and PC-compatible. It’s available in 1 terabyte (TB) and 2TB editions for $229.99 and $449.99 respectively.
The drive sports a capacity gauge that lets you see at a glance how much space is available, and is managed using a Web browser (Safari 2.0 or later is supported, as well as Firefox 2.0 or later). The device also comes with WD Anywhere Backup, a Mac and Windows-compatible backup application that lets you store files from your local computer on the My Book World Edition.
