MacPractice has announced the release of MacPractice DDS 3.6, a new version of its Mac OS X-based medical practice management software for dentist’s offices. The new release enhances digital radiography support and also adds charting.
MacPractice Chart—used for restorative dental charting—displays pre-existing conditions, treatment plans and treatments performed. It will also display the patient ledger with charges and payments, and supports both U.S. and international tooth numbering systems.
Also new in this release is an enhanced device driver for use with SuniRay digital sensors, and a new interface. The software also features new bridging technology that helps MacPractice integrate with PC applications running on a virtual machine (as might be found on an Intel-based Mac running VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop).
