IK Multimedia announced a free series of mixing and mastering classes to be held throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. The classes will use the company’s mastering software, T-RackS 3.
The classes are designed to give musicians the ability to mix and master their songs after the recording is done. Specifically, attendees will learn how to set up signal chains in T-RackS 3, how to properly use each module, the basics of mastering EQ and compression/limiting.
The classes will be given by a series of professional engineers and musicians including Billy Morrison (Bass player for the Cult), Gary Noble (Engineer for Estelle, The Fugees, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone), Mark Vinten (Engineer for Lil John), and Scott Kielak (Engineer for Ludacris, Lil Kim, Ginuwine), among others.
A complete list of places the classes will be held is available from the IK Multimedia Web site.
