Brainjuice has released Blogo 1.2.5, a new version of its desktop blog editor and Twitter client for Mac OS X. It costs $25, though the update is free for registered users.
Blogo lets you post to your blog from your desktop, avoiding Web-based user interfaces. It supports WordPress, Blogger, Typepad, Typo, Drupal and Expression Engine, and also operates as a Twitter client, making it easier to “tweet” your thoughts to friends and contacts.
The new 1.2.5 release adds support for custom post slugs (permalinks) and also supports tags in Movable Type. An improved interface is used for Ping.fm, letting you choose between blogs, microblogs and status updates when posting.
A number of fixes and improvements to general stability have been made; other changes include category support for Drupal blogs, Amazon affiliate snippets no longer have their styles removed when posting, and thumbnail images are now saved with a “-thumb” suffix.
Blogo works on Mac OS X 10.4 or later. A 21-day trial version is available for download.
