Apple released an update on Wednesday for users of its newest 17-inch MacBook Pro (the model released in early 2009).
MacBook Pro Graphics Firmware Update 1.0 addresses the appearance of vertical lines or distorted graphics on the notebook display, according to notes provided by Apple with the update. It appears that is the only issue fixed in the firmware update.
Apple also provides detailed instructions on how to properly install the update and how to check to see what version of the graphics software you are running.
MacBook Pro Graphics Firmware Update 1.0 is a free update from Apple’s Web site.
