Vox expanded its line of Mac compatible guitar amp and effects modeling pedals this week with the introduction of the ToneLab ST. The new stompbox was unveiled at the Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, Germany.
The stompbox comes with 33 amp models, 11 speaker cabinets and 25 effects that include traditional pedals and rack-style effects. What sets the ToneLab ST apart is a real 12AX7 vacuum tube, allowing the device to better capture the tone of tube amps.
The ToneLab ST connects to your Mac via USB, allowing you to edit and create presets with the included librarian software. The output can be used to feed an external amp and an input to jam along with MP3 files or CDs.
The ToneLab ST will be available in late April and will cost $275.
