BIAS introduced the next version of its noise reduction utility, SoundSoap Pro 2, improving on the applications ability to remove unwanted noise from a sound file.
One of the improvements in SoundSoap Pro 2 is new Adaptive Noise Reduction algorithms, which will allow users to automatically extract a noise profile from areas that was impossible in previous versions. The sound profile can also be relearned dynamically.
SoundSoap Pro 2 provides users with four integrated tools, each specialized to get rid of certain types of noise. The tools are “Hum & Rumble,” “Click & Crackle,” “Broadband,” and “Noise Gate.”
SoundSoap Pro 2 will be available as an RTAS, AU and VST plug-in, supporting a variety of host applications. BIAS said it will be available in late Q2 for $599. Existing users will be offered an upgrade path, but BIAS did not disclose details of that program.
