Macware on Monday announced the release of MacTuneUp 3.5, an update to their system utility for Mac OS X. The update is available for free t registered users; it costs $35.
MacTuneUp helps discover and fix problems with your Mac OS X installation. It restores hard disk space, can create bootable disk backups, and will maximize Internet and network connections for optimal performance.
The new 3.5 release features an overhauled “Optimization” section which improves download speed and frees up more hard disk space on the boot volume. Other changes in 3.5 include faster application launch on Intel Macs, increased application performance on Intel Macs, Leopard-related enhancements to the Memory Optimizer, the ability to interrupt the file deletion process at any time, and an improved cache files deletion tool for Leopard.
The update is only available for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, 256MB RAM and 10MB hard disk space.
