It was a bit more than a week ago that Strider Software Inc. released TypeStyler 3.7.1, a new update to their typographical styling utility. Now, a new version has been released which replaces the previous version — 3.7.2 is ready for download from Strider’s Web site.
The new version fixes issues that first cropped up in TypeStyler 3.7.1. The new update no longer requires that Apple’s URL Access extension is installed. The new version also fixes Web and JavaScript problems that were present in the previous version. All of the improvements in 3.7.1 are still there, including Mac OS 9.1 compatibility, high res export improvement, and more.
TypeStyler 3.7.2 enables graphic designers and others to create customized display type. You can apply a variety of effects to typefaces including bending, twisting, stretching, rotation and more. You can also add glow and emboss effects, shadowing details, opacity adjustments and more.
TypeStyler retails for US$295. System requirements call for a PowerPC-based Mac with a 604/120 processor or faster; 24MB RAM; 60MB free hard disk space; 13″ or larger color display with support for 640×480 pixel resolution; and a CD-ROM drive for installation.
