SmileOnMyMac on Wednesday announced the release of DiscLabel 6, a new version of its CD and DVD label design application for Mac OS X. It costs $36, and upgrades are available.
DiscLabel is a design tool to help Mac users create professional and beautifully tailored labels suitable for CDs and DVDs, including jewel case labels. It supports most label and paper types, works with direct-print devices and LightScribe devices, can be automated with AppleScript, imports track info from Apple iLife apps, Finder and Toast, imports images, and features a broad range of templates to help you get started.
New to version 6 are 80 additional templates with new themes for business, professional, music and special occasion designs. The interface for creating new designs and selecting templates has been simplified, and the image import palette has been enhanced. A new inspector palette has been added, a new montage tool has been developed to create photo montages, and the random design generator has been improved as well.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
