Slife Labs has announced the release of Slife 3.0, a new version of their time and productivity management software for Mac and Windows. Now available as a subscription-based Web service, it costs $5 per month.
Slife, comprising a Web service and open-source client application installed on the local computer, watches what applications, documents and Web sites you interact with and tracks how long you use them. That information is related to the Slife Web service, which lets you view statistics and graphs associated with your computer usage. That information can then be used to help you understand how you’re using your time, to generate billing for client-based projects or just to help you get a better understanding of your own productivity.
The redesigned Slife 3.0 makes it easier for you to categorize applications, documents and Web sites, and offers new features like Notes, which help you “contextualize” your activities with Twitter-style posts; as well as Meetings & Phone Calls, which lets you log events that happen apart from the computer.
Slife’s Web service requires a modern browser. The client software needs Mac OS X 10.5 or later and a G3 or better.
