Accessory vendor Macally on Wednesday announced a number of new products for the Mac, including several wireless input devices and two “eco-conscious” laptop stands.
The wireless accessories include both Bluetooth and radio-frequency (RF) devices. The $70 BTKey Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for Mac is a full-size keyboard that uses low-profile scissor keys, and the $50 BTMouse2 Bluetooth Wireless Laser Mouse features three programmable buttons, a scroll wheel, and an 800-dpi laser sensor. Each requires two AAA batteries (included).
RF devices include the $30 Optimo Portable 2.4 GHz Wireless Optical Mouse and the $30 MGlide Portable 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mouse. The Optimo features 3 programmable buttons, a scroll wheel, a precision optical sensor, a “nano” USB RF receiver, and a switch for toggling between 800 and 1600dpi resolution. The low-profile MGlide includes a clickable scroll wheel, a precision optical sensor, and a compartment inside the mouse for storing the RF USB receiver.
The company also released two $40 notebook stands made of bamboo and packaged in environmentally-friendly materials. The EcoFan and EcoFanPro each feature an “ultra-quiet fan” powered by your laptop’s USB port; the EcoFanPro adds the capability to adjust the stand.
Macally says all products are available now.
