Native Instruments (NI) on Tuesday announced Audio 2 DJ, a new USB audio interface for DJ’s. It’s coming in September for $119
Designed as a mobile audio interface for digital DJs, Audio 2 DJ connects to a Mac or PC using USB 2.0. It also features two 1/4-inch output channels that you can use to connect to an external mixer, or as a master out and headphone monitor.
Inside are Cirrus Logic-made 24/96kHz AD/DA converters and the ability to output up to 9.7 dBu on both channels. The Mac OS X and Windows drivers included with the device are low-latency, according to the developer. Connection cables are also included.
NI includes software with the Audio 2 DJ: Traktor Pro Demo Version, the company’s DJ software that lets you mix digital files on four virtual decks, using an internal mixer or external hardware; Kore Player and Kore Soundpack, a variety of sounds for use with any sequencer; and Guitar Rig 3 Go, guitar amp and effects software.
