If you’re like me, you have limited desk space and several Apple devices that live on said desk. Storing my devices when they’re not in use sometimes (OK, always) makes my desk pretty cluttered, and I’m always shuffling things around as I switch between my iMac, MacBook, and iPad. That’s why a new MacBook stand caught my eye at Macworld/iWorld.
Esoterism’s new Tesseract—yes, inspired by the Tesseract artifact seen in The Avengers movie—offers a handy and elegant solution for storing a variety of devices. These two aluminum cubes have three different slots to hold all sorts of Apple products. The largest slot fits MacBook Pros of all sizes—the current 13- and 15-inch models (both Retina and non-Retina), and the older 17-inch model. The medium sized slot is for the MacBook Air; the smallest is for the iPad and iPad mini.
Just place the Tesseract cubes on the proper side and slide your MacBook or iPad into the two slots. When not in use, hook the cubes together and stash them away, or flip the cubes over and hold another dormant device. The Tesseract holds your MacBook or iPad upright, so you can neatly place it somewhere out of the way when working with another device. Plus, they look pretty sleek, too.
The Tesseract is available for $79 and ships on February 2.
