Our Verdict
The July 2005 update to the Apple’s iBook line boosted the processor speed in the 14.1-inch model to 1.42GHz. All iBooks now feature the scrolling Trackpad and Sudden Motion Sensor technologies added to the PowerBook line earlier this year. Memory has been boosted across the iBook line as well.
The 14-inch iBook outperforms its 12-inch counterpart in our benchmarks. But the 14-inch display doesn’t look as sharp as the other model’s 12-inch screen, not even at maximum resolution.
