Belkin’s Leather Pouch for iPod mini isn’t really a pouch; rather, it looks and functions like a miniature version of a nice leather wallet. (That’s a good thing, in my opinion.) You slide your iPod mini into the wallet and then fold the case closed; a sturdy strap with snap keeps it secure, much like a woman’s pocketbook.
When the case is open, your iPod mini’s Click Wheel is exposed, but the screen is still protected by clear PVC. A small pocket can hold a drivers license or some cash, and a handy wrist strap helps prevent accidental drops. There’s no belt clip or loop, but considering that this case is designed to be used like a wallet, that’s to be expected.
Overall, the Belkin Leather “Pouch” is an attractive and functional case that we don’t hesitate to recommend. Our only complaint is that it only comes in pink, although Belkin tells us that additional colors are on the way.–Dan Frakes
