Vaja iVod DJ iPod Case

We’ve long been fans of Vaja’s rigid, semi-padded i-Volution (iVod) cases, thanks to the company’s use of high-quality, full-grain leather, custom-made — by hand, no less — in the color(s) of your choice. (See our review of the standard iVod for more information.) The Limited Edition DJ version uses the same overall design, including the clear plastic screen protector, but ups the cool quotient (and the protection factor) with a use-through Click Wheel cover that looks just like an LP. It’s one of the most unique cases I’ve seen, as well as one of the most protective. (The only part of your iPod that’s exposed is the top edge.)

As we’ve mentioned in our previous Vaja reviews, Vaja cases are pricey — and because it’s a limited edition, the iVod DJ is even more expensive. But if you appreciate handmade quality, good protection, and a splash of retro, this is one cool case.–Dan Frakes
