Articulating arm and USB dock for iPod shuffle
We previously reviewed DLO’s USB Dock Cable, a 4-foot USB extension cable that lets you plug your iPod shuffle into a USB port that’s out of reach or in a tight space. DLO’s Flexible Dock for iPod shuffle provides similar functionality but with an 8″, flexible metal arm instead of a longer cable. The main difference is that the Flexible Dock is rigid enough to hold your iPod shuffle in whatever position you prefer; in addition, the “dock” end — into which you plug your iPod shuffle — rotates 180 degrees so that no matter how you position the metal arm, your iPod will be held upright.
The “dock” base fits an iPod shuffle well, both physically and aesthetically, and if your only spare USB port is on the side or back of your laptop or display, the Flexible Dock is a handy way to better position your shuffle during syncing/charging. But as with the USB Dock Cable, whether or not these details make the Flexible Dock worth its $20 price is a decision you’ll have to make for yourself.–Dan Frakes
