Car charger for all dockable iPods.
Regardless of how you connect your iPod to your car stereo, you’re going to want to provide the player with power — it’s no fun having a dead iPod on a long road trip. If your audio hookup doesn’t already supply the juice, Belkin’s Auto Kit does the job nicely. Available in white or black, the Auto Kit works only with dockable iPods, thanks to its built-in dock connector cable; however, one advantage it holds over less expensive products such as Griffin Technology’s PowerJolt and PowerPod is that the Auto Kit also grabs the audio signal from the iPod’s dock port. It then makes that audio signal available via a built-in audio output jack with adjustable volume level — you can connect a cassette adapter or other audio cable directly to the Auto Kit.–Dan Frakes
