This aluminum case swings open from the bottom to hold all 4G iPod and the iPod photo. An opening in the housing allows you to see the display, and another provides access to the clickwheel. More openings in the top and bottom allow access to the hold switch, dock, headphone jack, and remote port.
A little thick, it adds about a third of an inch of girth to your iPod, for no apparent reason. The openings that allow you to access your display and clickwheel also leave the iPod’s most delicate parts totally exposed. It’s also cheaply made, not only were we able to bend the aluminum with our nerd hands, but even slipping it in a tight pocket was enough to cause the thin aluminum area between the clickwheel and display openings to become misshapen. Also, open it too wide and it will never close properly again. Avoid this case. –Mathew Honan
