DLO Action Jacket for iPod shuffle

Digital Lifestyle Outfitter’s (DLO) Action Jacket for iPod shuffle is a neoprene “exercise” case that includes a belt clip and armband. The front of the case has a plastic covering for access to the shuffle’s controls, although the controls on the rear of the shuffle are covered by a rotating clip that’s permanently attached. (The clip slides into a slot on the armband, which means you can use the case either with the armband or as a belt clip without the armband.) The armband is secured using a stretchy, Velcro-like material that covers one side of the elastic band — we like this material as it provides both a tight grip on your arm and flexibility in terms of where you can attach excess armband. Overall, the Action Jacket includes one of the better armbands we’ve seen, but the case’s lack of a way to access the back controls means that you need to remove the shuffle from the case to access those controls. –Derik DeLong
