Our Verdict
Lime’s iPod shuffle Peel is, quite simply, a piece of cloth with cardboard backing for the back, with a thin piece of clear plastic for the front; you insert your iPod shuffle in between. A vinyl strip, secured to the case by a snap, provides a sort of pseudo-lanyard for attaching the case to a belt loop or bag.
The case’s plastic front gets distorted by the sharp edges of your iPod shuffle. Although this shouldn’t be a significant issue, as your shuffle will always be in the same place, combining this distortion, along with with no way to access the shuffle’s rear controls, make it difficult to recommend Lime’s Peel, unless one of its six styles tickles your fancy — this is definitely a “style” case.–Derik DeLong
