Our Verdict
Kroo’s Laguna leather case for your iPod shuffle stands out for its included carabiner clip, which is handy for attaching the case to a belt loop or bag. The carabiner can be removed, but it leaves behind a small metal loop, and in my testing, the carabiner clip doesn’t always line up correctly (so it doesn’t always close completely).
The front of the case includes embossed controls to indicate where your shuffle’s actual controls reside — you can press those buttons through the case. The shuffle’s rear Off/On/Shuffle switch is exposed, and a small hole is cut into the leather for the headphone port. The case’s leather comes in thirteen different colors but, unfortunately, feels more like plastic.
Although the Laguna’s carabiner clip is interesting, quality issues detract from the overall usability of the case.–Derik DeLong
