Griffin Technology’s iClear for the iPod nano is a two-piece — front and back — case made of polycarbonate plastic. The front piece is perfectly clear, whereas the back is frosted. (This frosting is likely to hide much of the scratching to which a clear plastic case is prone.)
The entire bottom of the case is open, making it easy to connect Apple’s dock cable and your headphones — even ones with a large plug. A hole on the top provides access to your nano’s hold switch.
The iClear is a very attractive case that prevents scratches to your iPod at a reasonable price. Although it provides few bells and whistles, it’s very protective and adds little bulk.–Derik DeLong
