Power Support’s Silicone Jacket for the iPod (with video) is yet another variation on the silicone “skin” case. Available in translucent and black, the Jacket provides openings for your iPod’s screen, Click Wheel, and dock-connector port, with an open top edge for inserting your iPod. Other than that, there are no distinguishing marks or contours — not even a brand label.
Included with the case are protective films — similar to the company’s standalone “Crystal Film” products — for the screen and Click Wheel. The Click Wheel piece is Power Support’s “3D Wheel Film,” which has a raised portion where the center button is. It’s an interesting variation on the overlay protector that not only protects the entire wheel, but gives one a noticeable bump to manipulate your iPod by feel.
Power Support’s Silicone Jacket is simple and protective, and a great option for those that don’t want branding all over their case. However, with no belt clip or lanyard attachments, it provides no additional means to transport your iPod.
