Our Verdict
Rex Regina has several lines of iPod cases using materials such as leather and croc skin. The Classic, Nouveau, and Avant-Garde samples we tested were indistinguishable save for the materials used. All three featured an open-face design, with the iPod’s screen and Click Wheel exposed. The top of the case is open for easy access to the hold switch and headphone port; the back features a non-removable belt clip. The bottom on the case has an opening for access to the iPod’s dock-connector port.
Rex Regina’s cases are fairly standard, with nothing particularly compelling about them, save for availability in exotic materials. The lack of face protection and high price for some models seriously detract from their value. –Derik DeLong
