As you may have noticed, Macworld.com has been updated with some new features and some changes to our design.
The biggest change is the addition of a product database. Our goal is to make it much easier to find products on Macworld, from Apple hardware to accessories and peripherals to the wide variety of Mac software that’s out there.
On the left side of many pages on the site, and under the Reviews tab in our top navigation bar, you’ll find links to product categories. These new product-category pages feature new and hot products in each category, and will let you see every product we’ve reviewed as well as other, new products that we haven’t yet reviewed. Over time we’ll be adding more specs and allowing you to search, sort and filter through products to find just what you’re looking for.
There’s a whole lot more work for us to do—we’ve got a lot of data to add in, plenty of images to upload, specs to tweak, and bugs to fix—but this update starts us down a path of making it much easier for all Mac users to find and compare products, see our reviews, share their own reviews and comments, and more.
If you spot bugs, please let us know in the comment thread attached to this message or in our dedicated comment thread on the Macworld Forum.
