iPad pre-orderers will definitely be getting their hands on the device on the coming Saturday, but they’re not the only ones who will get to join in on the fun. On April 3, the iPad will also be available at Apple retail stores and Best Buy locations nationwide in the U.S. However, finding a Best Buy that still has iPads in stock may be tricky, since word is that each location will only have around 15.
To find out the availability of the iPad in Best Buy locations near you, you can give Milo a shot. It’s a search engine that tracks several large retail chains—including Best Buy—and you’ll be able to search for and keep track of iPad availability starting at 9 a.m. on April 3 (as of this writing searching for “ipad” brings up no results). Just remember: the earlier you leave the house, the better your chances of returning with a shiny new iPad.
Given how crowded Apple Stores tend to be (with people forming lines days before the device’s arrival) and depending on their location with respect to your house, it may not be feasible for you to pick your iPad up at an Apple Store on launch day. But keeping an eye on your local Best Buy or Apple Authorized Reseller might be a good way to sneak by the crowds.
