Accessory-maker MiLi has released a couple of new add-ons for the iPhone. The first, MiLi boasts, is “the thinnest external battery for iPhone in the world,” while the second is “the world’s smallest mobile phone USB charger.”
The MiLi Power Skin is a $70 external battery case for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. It contains a 1200 mAh lithium-polymer battery (versus the 3G’s 1150 mAh and 3GS’s 1219 mAh) which adds all sorts of extra time between charges: 230 hours of standby, 3.9 hours of 3G talk, 3.9 hours of 3G Web surfing, 19 hours of audio playback, or 5.4 hours of video-playback time. Basically, it nearly doubles the amount of time you get to iPhone on-the-go, and you even get to pick from eight two-tone color combinations for the case, including black, white, blue, green, orange, and silver.
The MiLi PocketPal is an extremely tiny, foldable USB-to-AC charger that costs $20 and should give Apple’s itty-bitty USB charger a run for its money. It can charge an iPhone, iPod, or a variety of other MP3 players and mobile phones (but not an iPad since that device requires a little more juice). The PocketPal also gets MiLi’s two-tone color treatment with options of black, white, blue, green, yellow, and pink.
Both accessories should be available soon from U.S. distributors, and a bundle of both will be offered at the discounted price of $80.
