Scosche adds four new earphones to its IDR line

, a company that makes a number of accessories for Apple products, has released four new earphones under its IDR line, all of which feature the company’s proprietary tapLINE II Remote and Mic.

The $100 IDR655m are the flagship earphones, featuring 11mm drivers that faithfully reproduce the highs, lows, and mids of your music. They come with small, medium, and large single and dual flanged silicone inserts to ensure that you get a perfect fit for your ears—a crucial part of achieving sound isolation and proper low end reproduction of your music. The cable features a nylon-braided jacket to help prevent tangling, and the earphones come with a sheepskin leather travel pouch.

The IDR355m and IDR355md, both $55, feature the same set of silicone inserts as the IDR655 as well as six interchangeable color caps that let you rock out in style. The entry-level IDR305, $40, sold exclusively at Apple Stores, is an appealing option for those who want headphones with controls on them without having to spring for the more expensive “audiophile” models.

For these new models, Scosche moved the headphones’s built in control surface to where the wires fork, making it easier to locate the controls when you wish to switch tracks or adjust volume. The integrated mic has also been placed higher up on the right channel, putting it closer to your mouth and thus improving clarity.

All four models are compatible with the iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod nano (4G, 5G), iPod shuffle (3G), iPod touch (2G), 160GB iPod classic (2G) and Mac computers purchased after October, 2008.
