Our Verdict
Repurposed netbook case is a little large for iPad, but sports nice features.
Though originally designed for netbooks, Timbuk2’s Quickie XS can easily fit an iPad into its unique “Loveglove” interior, which consists of an array of soft, raised buds that protect the sleeve’s contents (although there’s no rigid panel to provide additional protection for the iPad’s screen). However, given that the Quickie XS is intended for 10-inch netbooks, the sleeve feels a bit voluminous around the smaller iPad. Still, that shortcoming is mostly outweighed by nice features such as handles that tuck out of the way when not needed and a pair of front expandable, Velcro-closure pockets. A zipper keep the sleeve’s contents secure, and the nylon exterior provides enough texture to feel comfortable tucking the Quickie under your arm. That’s good, as the Quicky seems as though it might be more suitable for carrying on its own rather than stowing inside another bag.
